About New Salem Baptist Church
Founded in 1862 in Monroe, North Carolina, New Salem Baptist Church is a body of believers committed to worshiping and serving Jesus Christ. As a Bible-believing church, we join with like-minded Christians in spreading the Gospel locally and around the world. We are proud to be affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the North Carolina Baptist State Convention, and the Union Baptist Association.

Christ reached out to people of all ages and backgrounds, and our desire is to do the exact same. That is why you will discover ministries geared toward various life stages and needs, providing a welcoming place for everyone to study the Scriptures, fellowship together, and serve through numerous community outreach opportunities.
We warmly invite you to be a part of God's blessings in the life of our church family as we worship together and celebrate how Christ is making a difference every day.
